R.E.A.L. celebrates positive relationships
It can feel awkward to talk about the birds and the bees at any age, but National Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Day is a national celebration to alleviate that awkwardness and promote healthy relationships and positive sexual health.
R.E.A.L. learners will take part in RSE Day by engaging in a range of age appropriate activities that cover topics such as friendships, respect and relationships.
This year’s theme for RSE Day is ‘Faces’ and learners and staff have been invited to video themselves responding to questions such as “My relationship role model is…” and “Family is…”. Answers will be collated and shared across school sites, hubs and on the Good News Community.
Clare Walker, Head of Personal Development said: “RSE Day is a way we can raise the profile and importance of relationships and sexual health, and it brings together the whole community.”
RSE day takes place on Thursday 24th June. You can find out more about the day and this year’s theme on the Challenge Nottingham website.
