Adventure
Our Adventure‑Based Alternative Provision is designed for learners with a strong interest in the outdoors, and adventurous activity. The programme provides an engaging and supportive environment where learners develop confidence, resilience, teamwork, and practical outdoor skills through structured, hands‑on experiences.
Licensed through the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA), the provision offers a diverse range of professionally led activities, including caving, rock climbing, canoeing, mountain biking, orienteering, bushcraft, and a variety of outdoor team challenges. These experiences take place in real outdoor settings, enabling learners to build competence, environmental awareness, and personal responsibility within authentic adventure environments.
Learners are also supported to explore future career pathways through vocational outdoor work‑experience opportunities, ideal for those wishing to progress into outdoor education, sport, or wider adventure‑based industries.
Our curriculum is delivered through a creative, experiential approach and is aligned to nationally recognised qualifications. This provision ensures learners experience a high‑quality, enriching programme that supports personal development, skill acquisition, and progression into further education, training, or employment.
