R.E.A.L. Business Experience
On Tuesday 12th June, learners at Kings Mill Way were visited by a representative from JP Morgan, a company that is recognised as one of the premier financial institutions in the United Kingdom.
Key messages regarding what opportunities are available for our young people were shared – including information about JP Morgan’s apprenticeship and graduate programmes.
Importantly the representative shared his own career pathway and history, and also talked through the different selection processes that employers use to select candidates; including video interviews, face-to-face interviews and assessment centres.
Clare Walker, Learning Manager and School Lead for Employability & Progression said: “Learners engaged well, picked up a few hints and tips on what makes a good CV and realised that employers are also looking at wider skills such a team work, commitment good communication skills and motivation.”
At R.E.A.L. Education, we aim to develop lasting relationships with companies to create ‘real life’ experiences and opportunities to inspire R.E.A.L learners and give our young people a supported transition into the world of business, commerce and further education.
By working closely with companies such as JP Morgan, we can make our learners aware of the opportunities and options available to them, and also help them to prepare for their future.
