New R.E.A.L. Timetable and Attendance System
At the Staff Conference on Monday 8th January, the new R.E.A.L. app was launched to staff.
The app is a bespoke timetable and attendance system, designed to make it easier and more efficient for staff to record learner attendance. It links up to staff mobile phones and can record and present attendance data – helping us to efficiently communicate real-time information about student attendance between tutors, learning managers, the business team and families.
Craig Wilkie, Director of the eLearning team and ICT partner for R.E.A.L. Education, designed the specialist app. Craig said: “This system is designed to make sure everyone has up to date, live attendance data in the palm of their hand. The system will provide data to the leadership team so attendance data of groups of learners can be monitored and targets can be set to improve attendance goals.”
Richard Ball, R.E.A.L. Progression Lead, Learning Manager & Deputy Safeguarding Officer said: “The new app has definitely made the time I spend on administration more streamlined and efficient. It means I have more time to concentrate on my learners and their development.”
