MH:2K Roadshow at R.E.A.L.
On Friday 23rd March, R.E.A.L. Education’s City Hub hosted the MH:2K Roadshow.
MH:2K is an innovative youth-led project that addresses young people’s mental health in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. By hosting this roadshow at R.E.A.L., we enabled our young people to explore mental health issues and influence decision-making in their local area.
The roadshow, which included an interactive workshop, empowered learners to:
- Identify the mental health issues that they see as most important;
- Engage with their peers in discussing and exploring these topics;
- Support the work with key local decision makers to make recommendations for change.
The roadshow was well attended by 14 of our young people who all managed to contribute and be involved in the workshop.
Nichola Goddard, Learning Manager said: “It was nice to give our young people the opportunity to explore these issues and have their voices heard. It was a great workshop, and the team who presented reported back that they really enjoyed the session, and extended a further invitation for R.E.A.L. learners to join them in May.
“Huge thanks go to all learners and staff who got involved.”
